Traveler Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Traveler Care Specialist to provide exceptional customer service to our Tourcy travelers. In this role, you will ensure the seamless execution of the booking process, consistently delivering a high level of professionalism while maintaining friendly, personalized interactions with travelers, travel partners, and group leaders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable travel experiences and eager to become an integral part of a growing team in the exciting and dynamic travel industry.


Exceptional customer service skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work occasional nights and weekends, and having a passport and REAL ID driver's license are required.

About the Role:

The Traveler Care Specialist will be instrumental in managing traveler interactions from the initial inquiry and booking process to the successful completion of their tour, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience at every stage of the journey.


This position offers a base salary plus uncapped commission potential, with a trial period to ensure mutual fit.


The role provides flexible, hybrid working hours, including a mix of time in our New Harmony, Indiana office, the option to work partially from home, and the possibility of meeting clients around the tri-state area if they are unable to visit the office.


There will be some evening hours required, typically 1-2 times per month, with occasional variation depending on the time of year.


There will be opportunities to travel with this position. A passion for travel isn’t the core skill we are seeking. Most important is the ability to assist travelers/partners in a friendly, approachable manner while on tour.


Primary Function

  • Traveler Engagement: Communicating with travelers to understand their needs, discussing itinerary options, and answering any questions they may have.
  • Booking Coordination: Managing bookings and ensuring a seamless process from initial inquiry to the travelers' return.
  • Detail Management: Carefully reviewing and managing travel itineraries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Sales Mindset: Proactively identifying traveler needs, following up on opportunities, and cultivating lasting relationships.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or any combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A deep commitment to providing customer satisfaction and a passion for helping travelers
  • Familiarity with Mac-based systems is preferred
  • Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Email communication
  • Social media creation and platforms
  • A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Proactive, trustworthy, and self-driven
  • Ability to work independently by solving problems and effectively utilizing available resources
